She came into the glamorous world at the age of 17 when some of her photographs shot by lensmen 'Suresh Natarajan' fortuitously fell into the hands of 'Suma Varghese', then Society magazine editor. The first cover back of Society in April '93 set the ball rolling for Malaika. The somewhat notorious MR coffee campaign attracted a lot more attention than Malaika had bargained for.
